The Studio....

The Studio has a warm, friendly vibe, with fully qualified teachers to help you get the yoga experience you need. We have a wide range of classes available, with all the yoga props that you need, just bring yourself.

We have mats, bolsters, cushions and blankets for you to use, and will be open 10 minutes before a class. Please do not press the intercom until the previous class has finished as this will disturb relaxation.

The heating system is infrared, a lovely heat to practise yoga in, as there is no air circulation it is better for asthma and bronchial problems. It acts like the suns rays.

Parking:- on the start of Church Drive it is parking permit only, across from the studio there is parking and there are normally spaces and also in the business centre car park the middle section end two belong to us and the one in the far right corner. There is also a public car park a few minutes walk away at the back of wetherspoons, and Sainsburys too.

Please note that the studio will also be available to rent on an hourly basis, please contact me for more information.

Gina Felstead

I began practising Yoga nine years ago, after finishing my Psychology degree at Nottingham Trent.  I travelled to India to complete my Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga.

I am very passionate about connection and ensuring that students are breathing properly during their practice.  I value self-connection more than the physical asanas (postures), although these are still very important.

I studied Yin Yoga, with Sarah Lo. This sparked my obsession with finding stillness in Yoga and allowing transformation through total surrender. Yin is not for the faint-hearted!

Yoga has shown me both a way in and a way out, of my 'self'. The more I learn and the more I practice, the more I realise how little I know.

Simon Kane

I first walked into a Yoga class at the tender age of 46, not really knowing what to expect, other than a weekly guided stretch session would probably do me some good, particularly as a runner with a whole host of running related niggles (stiff ankles, tight calf & hamstrings, general aches & pains).

Within a few sessions these niggles disappeared (no more hobbling around for the first 20-30 mins of the day!) and I was hooked!

I am now a qualified teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga and teach Hatha Yoga.  I’m delighted to be part of the teaching team at Bamboo Yoga.

My classes, whilst ideal for beginners, are for everyone who would like to learn to relax, increase their flexibility or improve their strength in a safe, non-competitive and non-judgemental space.

See you on the mat,

Simon

Lois Najuk

I became interested in yoga when I needed something to improve my wellbeing.

Yoga has enabled me to be more relaxed, positive and find happiness.

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have found the benefits for children in my class so I wanted to share this with other children.

I qualified with The Yoga Space which was a great experience. I am also a mum to my son.

My classes will enable children to practise asanas through play and games and always ending in relaxation. I believe it is important to give children a safe space which is fully inclusive to allow children to build their confidence, concentration and have lots of fun.
